Posada - December 10, 2025

Posada - December 10, 2025

Please join us on Wednesday, December 10th at 5:30pm!

We will have two donkeys to accompany us on the Posada. We will have tamales, two kinds of posole, beans, ponche, chips/salsa, and chocoflan for dessert. We will also have a pinata!

We will also be writing Christmas cards that we will give to immigrants in detention centers.

What is a Posada? It is a traditional Latino celebration where people walk in procession with candles and reenact the struggle of Joseph and Mary by knocking on different doors. Songs are sung to ‘reject’ the participants of the procession just as Joseph and Mary were turned away. We will walk around our Rec campus looking for shelter, and end up in Brown Hall for dinner.

We will need lots of kids to help us knock on the inn doors!
